Yatsushiro is situated in a region blessed with a superb natural environment. There is a mild climate, the Kuma River with its abundant water flow, and the scenic Yatsushiro Sea. We will cherish this rich natural environment and act as a good corporate citizen to maintain friendly relations with our local community. We will also take steps to protect the environment and make continued improvement with the participation of all employees.

1. 1. We will comply with laws, regulations, and agreements with local communities relating to the environment and develop our own rules, manuals and educational framework to improve our environmental management.
2. 2. We will enrich and improve our environmental management systems and set environmental objectives and targets to meet them. We will also regularly review our objectives and targets in an aim to consistently improve environmental conservation and to prevent pollution.
3. 3. We will forecast and assess environmental impacts at the stage of product research, planning and development to offer products with a low environmental impact.
4. 4. We will endeavor to maintain and improve the global environment through resources and energy saving, reduction of environmentally hazardous substances, recycling and management of chemical substances.
5. 5. We will offer environmental education and raise environmental awareness among all employees and other personnel working for the Yatsushiro Factory to make this policy known to and implemented by them.
