BONYL-SPY™
BONYL-SPY™
Characteristics
- Chlorine-free
- The BONYLTM-SPY is a co-extruded gas barrier nylon film produced using the Tubular method. With its oxygen barrier performance equivalent to that of the BONYL™-K, it contains no chlorinated substance and generate no chlorine gas when burnt.
- Resistant to heat
- The film may be used not only in the boil treatment but also semi retort field, which conventional PVdC coated material did not withstand.
- Heat shrinkage anisotropy
- This film is manufactured using the Tubular method as well as BONYL™-RX. With little heat shrinkage anisotropy, it is not prone to pattern deviation in bag production, to S-shaped curling, or to bag deformation resulting from heat treatment for sterilization.
- Flexibility
- As it is produced with the Tubular method, it is softer than the co-extruded barrier nylon film produced by the Tenter method, although the difference is smaller than it is with the ONY film. Printability including "half-tone" printing is as same as BONYL™-RX.
- Suitable for half-tone printing
- This film is composed of outer layers made of a normal nylon resin known as Nylon 6, and a middle layer made of a gas barrier nylon resin.
